"This was a solo trip to recharge and center myself again from stress. It was my first time in Aruba and I was ready for sun and sand. The room was amazing, they were able to upgrade my room to be a bit bigger and had the perfect view of the ocean and sunset. The front desk staff was great. the food could have been better. I didn't have the greatest experience at the Italian restaurant. The host that greated me told me I had to wait till later to eat because it was club memebers first so I ate kind of later than I would have liked but i didn't stress about it. But when i came back at my buzzer time and said that it was jut for one he said 'ohhh that's okay' as though it was an issue that I was alone. Again i let it go cause it's fine with me that's the whole purpose of this trip. they never brought me the bread to dip in the olive oil, I said I was maybe going to order some wine and the server took my wine glass and walked away. i got the lasagna and the pasta part was beyond over cooked it was smothered in meat sauce, a little too much, that's basically all that was on the plate. It was super salty as well and i didn't get parmesan until i was basically done. the server didn't come to check on me much, I had to ask two different people to order my dessert. I got the affogato and there was barely any espresso to coat the bottom of the cup. I ended up just walking out. Room service didn't have a lot of options but overall i'd give the hotel an 8/10. Food was just not the best."
