"Fantastic Resort, But Lobby Taxi Services Urgently Need Improvement! I recently stayed at the resort and, overall, had a wonderful experience. The Highlights: Service & Amenities: The staff were attentive and professional throughout our stay. Entertainment & Activities: The water park is impressive with plenty of exciting, high-thrill rides. Beach & Scenery: The beach was crystal clear, clean, and beautiful. Dining: Excellent variety of restaurants with delicious food. The Only Downside (Which Made Me Extremely Upset): The guest pick-up and drop-off service at the lobby area. There appears to be collusion between certain lobby staff members and specific local taxi drivers. They arranged for me to take an extremely old and dirty vehicle right in front of the lobby entrance. I never expected a 5-star resort to permit such severely degraded vehicles to service its guests. What makes matters worse is that I was charged the exact same rate for this filthy, run-down car as one would pay for a clean, modern vehicle. When agreeing to the ride, I trusted the resort's 5-star reputation and never anticipated being provided with such poor quality. Conclusion: The resort is well worth visiting for its amenities and vacation vibe. However, I strongly urge management to rectify the lobby staff's practices immediately and audit their partner drivers so as not to tarnish the resort’s luxury standard."

"Beautiful stay, nice staff. beach was incredible. Need to upgrade rooms it’s a shame that the hotel has old rooms. You make lots of $$$$ use it to renovate, it ll make you more $$$ ."

"Rooms were clean and well cared for. This is an old property. Given that the staff is excellent in resort meals are very good and location is by far one of the best resort locations on the north part of Aruba. Ocean view rooms are excellent. Try to get levels 5 or 6 to be above the palm trees. Sea tower rooms facing resort (south) excellent. Rooms facing north are subject to a bar that can play loud music till 1:30am."

"We had that most amazing anniversary at the Excellence. Our room was amazing, we had a private pool which we used every evening. I loved that the room had a steamer, very useful. The staff were so incredible. But the best part was the food. We loved every restaurant we went to."
