"We commented to the manager and employees as we left how this was the cleanest hotel we've ever stayed. It had fresh smelling hallways and rooms with comfortable beds. We will definitely keep this hotel in mind if we ever travel back to the Des Moines area."

"We had a wonderful night celebrating our anniversary here. The room was perfect. Only complaint we had was the bed was firmer than we like. It was fairly quiet for a Saturday night with young football players as guest and it seemed pretty packed. "

"The Des Lux was a really cool boutique hotel. The martini bar in the lobby was nice (a little pricey) but the lobby was unique and fun. The breakfast was substantial and had so many choices, we felt as if we were at an “All-inclusive”. Parking was easy and convenient, cost is $10.00 a day, room was spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was very nice, along with a fantastic steam room and sauna. This hotel is just all around, very neat and worth a try. Oh, also, plenty of fantastic restaurants within walking distance. "

"We had a nice stay. It's close to our favorite bbq place here in town. Elevators were our of service and they found a room on the first floor for us since we had a full car from our road trip to unload in and out of the room. With my husbands sciatica in his leg, we appreciated not having to climb stairs several times to bring things in and out of our car."
