Great family location, we do not cater to a "spring break" crowd. Neighborhood consists of full time homeowners, apartments, hotels restaurants and convenience store and other vacation rentals. We provide beach gear, EV charger, AC, fire pit, outdoor shower. NO TV or WASHER/DRYER. SMALL DOGS OK.

Great location 2 blocks from the beach. Very nice place. Even has a Sparkletts water dispenser in the kitchen. Great yard with fire pit, fountains and tubular bells. Very serene. If I go to Carlsbad again alone or with my wife we’re staying here if it’s available.

It was very Zen and Peaceful, the place was put together very well, it was comfortable safe and secure. We enjoyed our stay. Well equipped with all the comforts of home. Super close to the beach. Peaceful, Private, Beautiful Place!

We were looking for the perfect place to stay near the beach in Carlsbad and found it!! The space inside and out is stunning with a large outdoor oasis where 2 large fountains provide constant calm. Jim the host is exceptional!!

Cozy beach cottage

Exactly as pictured; quant, secluded, very cute and perfect for my family of 3. Outdoor patio has fire pit, water features and wind chimes for ambiance. Just a few blocks from the beach and plenty to walk to re: cafes, restaurants, shopping. Host is extremely communicative and kind. Will stay again!

Loved the house and garden. Secluded yet close to everything. Jim has all the essentials for you.

Sitting in the garden with the chimes chiming was one of the highlights. Being able to walk to the beach for sunsets or day at the beach is wonderful.

Lovely, quiet beach cottage

This was everything I was looking for in a very clean, pet friendly beach cottage with a friendly, available host who knew the area very well. The enclosed patio was lovely, and my two tiny dogs were able to safely explore. I would definitely come back again!

Perfect no-frills rental, ideal for couple and pet. Clean with ample amenities, in a safe neighborhood just a short walk to the beach/town. Back patio is lovely with fire pit and working gas grill. Check in made easy.

Great stay in Carlsbad

Property location to beach is awesome and Jim (host) is also awesome. Courtyard space adds to the liveable space we wanted in this rental. You can walk to the beach and downtown Carlsbad. Safe and secure which is always appreciated.

Everything was seamless and exceeded expectations (parking, serene outdoor space, mini-split cooling, spacious kitchen). This place was well equipped and perfect for our weekend plans. Delightful!

We were very pleased with this property! Jim was an awesome manager, friendly and responsive. The property itself was spacious, included everything we could ask for in a VRBO. Patio was big with 2 water features and firepit. Overall a delightful stay and only a block from the ocean!

Cute Beach cottage in great location!

Had a wonderful stay at this property! Jim could not be more responsive and helpful. It has a cute outdoor area with fire pit which we used and enjoyed! It is within walking distance to the darling Carlsbad Village and the beach. Its down the street from a darling coffee shop Cafe Elysa, which we visited every morning for coffee and a yummy croissant breakfast sandwich. We would definitely stay again!

An outstanding gem in Carlsbad, highly recommend!!

Our stay at Jim’s cottage was wonderful, & we absolutely loved our stay! It’s outfitted with everything you need, and has the sweetest garden area that is private and all your own. We loved coming home to the sound of the water fountain in the garden, and the lights in the garden at night were so lovely. A full kitchen, plenty of towels, bed linens, and all the beach gear was so thoughtfully provided. The cottage has a nice peaceful vibe and is so pleasant to hang out in, very quiet at night, too. We slept so well! It’s perfectly located a short walking distance to the beach & everything in town. What makes this place so special is Jim, a kind, friendly & gracious host that truly wants his guests to enjoy their stay, and has put alot of love into creating a comfortable & unique place for you to have as your home base in Carlsbad. We can’t wait to return, thanks so much Jim!

Hidden Gem!

This was the perfect spot for a mother/daughter beach getaway! Close to everything-- It's an easy walk to the beach and shops, just like the other reviewers said-- but the best part was the actual cottage itself! The photos don't really do it justice--the layout and design are so well done-- it's like the perfect little beach house / surf shack / tropical oasis-- truly a hidden gem! The fountains, fire pit, twinkle lights, outdoor shower, and murals at this property would make you feel like you're on vacation even if you weren't just 2 blocks from the beach! Jim is an amazing host-- excellent communication and thoughtful gestures throughout that show he really values his guests! Thank you so much! Hope to be back soon!
