This hotel is perfectly located by the beach and downtown Carlsbad. The hotel staff is excellent and very helpful. The rooms need some updating and repairs. Our room was not very clean and needed some maintenance. The property itself is very nice and well taken care of.

The hotel is perfectly positioned near places to eat, drink, shop and go to the beach. The pool and hot tub look so tropical in the courtyard of the hotel. The staff were all friendly. The only small issue I had was that there was hair in the shower and a used contact lens on the floor of our room but no broom or cleaning supplies located in the room for us to clean it up ourself. It didn't bother us enough to notify the staff

It's about five minutes away from the beach By foot, really it's in awesome location. The property managers seems to have renovated the rooms with a small kitchen and refrigerator. Wood, definitely stay here again.The expedia price is better than the price at the location.I stayed another night and it was about a hundred dollars more.
