"We had a fun first trip! The inn and cottage was along the Carmel River and provided a peaceful and affordable (compared to the general area) experience my friends and my puppy! There was plenty of areas for dogs to enjoy and quick fast drive to the supermarket and downtown Carmel. The room was spacious and cozy with all we needed! "

"The room was nice and clean came with free espresso coffee. The scenery was beautiful and the outdoor area connected to the room was beautiful. The amenities were nice and there were many. Along with having a free golf course and then a larger one that cost money. It is all worth it. Carmel itself is gorgeous and it’s about a 5 minute drive into the cute little shopping areas there. I 100% recommend this place. One down side is that the upstairs neighbors did have children and they were a little load when they jumped. "

"A magical place for a convenient stay in Carmel. We had a king room for an affordable rate of $250 per night - taxes included. A reasonable option in the area. We walked outside of the property and were on the Main Street and within walking distance of all the shops, restaurant, and beach. It was a quick 7 minute walk to the beach for sunset each evening. Numerous coffee shops and restaurants right outside the property. Our room was spacious and had all we needed. We had a separate bathroom and vanity room which was very helpful for us. There was a sitting area with comfortable chairs and plenty of lighting in the room - a must for me. In addition, there were 4 mirrors in the room which I found helpful and unusual for a hotel stay. The continental breakfast was okay. Not much to say - normal fare - but it was clean and well stocked. The pool was incredible warm and we enjoyed it one afternoon. The Normandy is a gem, like something out of "Tangled" a quote from my daughter. We asked for more towels and were given plenty - as well as pool towels from the front desk. the shower handle broke and was promptly fixed after a call to the front desk. I can't wait to return to the area and to Normandy Inn."
