"I got a wonderful experience staying in Monte Velho, since there was no retreat at moment, I made myself my ''own'' retreat :) It was so beautiful and peaceful place that I would love to stay for longer time, but got only two days to spent. Anyway, everything was perfectly clean, the staff were very kind and very helpful, and the food was very delicious. The space outdoors is so beautiful, many places to explore or just stay and meditate or just appreciate, amazing views, even a lake, I really got what I just need, some quiet place to be in full crazy summer season."

"Beautiful setting and a house with a lot of potential, but unfortunately the experience did not match expectations. The “pool” was very small, dirty and peeling paint, so effectively unusable; the electric barbecue does not really work for grilling; and there were several maintenance and cleanliness issues. We were also uncomfortable with cameras covering private outdoor leisure areas, including the pool. Overall, disappointing for the price and not somewhere we would return to."
