Carrigart is a traditional and tidy little village, with a pleasant park which is ideal for picnics. There are two supermarkets, a take-away, café, two bars, a butcher’s and a chemist. The horse riding centre in the village can cater for all abilities, so why not see some of the spectacular surrounding countryside from horseback? There are facilities for golfing, fishing, diving and watersports in the area, making this a great destination for those who want an active break. If you fancy taking things a bit slower, however, this is still the spot for you, with beautiful scenery, sparkling seas and sandy beaches galore, including the lovely beach at Downings, just under 3 miles away, as well as the renowned Atlantic Drive route, which takes in the wonderful landscape of the Rosguil Peninsula.
