Useful location for us as we have friends in Ribeira so a short excercise walk to the port and part of river walk around a beautiful area in the country. "Check in was a bit delayed for a late check in. The front desk questioned me several times about the booking and I felt because I was dressed in basketball shorts and muscle shirt I was being judged a bit even after showing the itinerary as if I was lying. But once confirmed her attitude changed. Aside from that the stay was great. Spa and restaurant employees were courteous and helpful. Great buffet options and food was fresh and delicious. The spa amenities were very clean and updated. Outdoor pool areas very clean and well maintained. The curtain in the restroom window was not functioning properly to open."

"Lovely family run hotel in a great area. Lovely walks along the coast 2 minutes from the hotel if you want a car free day. Great location to explore this very unspoilt region. Made us feel really welcome. Lovely pool area outside. Very quiet. Worth noting that the food offering in the restaurant in the evening was very limited when we went (mid Sept.). but maybe it's better in higher season?"
