We were not impressed with the restaurants within the castle walls, however the breakfast offered at the hotel was delicious! "

"The wife and I were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We felt that we were staying in a palace. The workers were dressed in attire from medieval times. The decor was of medieval times. They include a breakfast buffet fit for a king. The staff was extremely friendly. We arrived late in the evening and a gentleman went out to a nearby restaurant to ask if they could accommodate us as it was 1/2 hour before closing times. He came back and told us if we hurried over they would accommodate us. Well, I must say that was another pleasant surprise as the restaurant across the street was a five star dinning experience. They even let us keep our car in their private garage the morning of check out while we walked across the street to tour Obidos which is a must visit site when in Portugal and please try the wonderful tasting Ginginha drink as many stores offer tastings for a euro or so.
