"We have fond memories of staying in this unique little house near the river. The inside decor was unique and clever. We loved hearing the town's church bells chime 7:00am...and a few minutes later we could see boats floating right past our window. We enjoyed watching river activities from the large 2nd floor deck. "Excellent stay only 20 mins drive from the historic town of Guimaraes. We had a beautiful double room with a fantasic view down into the valley. The gardens are beautiful, breakfast includes fresh orange juice from the orange trees in the garden. Claudino is very generous with his time and knowledge. "

"Gaia is across the river from Porto; a short ride to downtown but away from the throngs of tourists. The beach and beach restaurants are a five minute walk from the house. Joaquim was a wonderful host and the accommodations felt like a five star hotel. we would definitely stay here again."
