The location was great and the price was very good. The cons were the a/c and cigarette smell. When we walked in the room, it immediately smelled like cigarettes. Additionally, the A/C did not turn on which made the room very warm and humid. The beds were very hard as well, but it wasn't too uncomfortable.

Conveniently close to the CTM bus stop and train station to casa port. 20 min easy walk from the big Mosque (tourist tours possible). Otherwise the Casablanca is not so interesting for tourists, best to stay max one night. Clean and standard for the ibis chain. Comfy beds, good hot showers.

Where’s the hospitality? Decent property in great location. Rooms were very clean, just a bit warm with the high floor location. Check in just wasn’t cordial at all. After a few more visits to the front desk in the evening, the unfriendliness was confirmed further.

Needs a staffing change

I love Ibis and returned for a second time to this hotel mainly due to the great location. But both times the check in has been super slow, the staff I find unwelcoming and unhelpful. When it came to help with a taxi and a time change issue the staff were downright rude. Secondly the beds are quite hard and there is no air con in their winter which is weird when it can be 20s during the day. I found it too hot to sleep. I stay in international hotels at times when abroad for the comforts of home and help when needed. This hotel did not deliver.

Rooms are small and have basic needs. This hotel is not managed at all. Front desk staff is untrained and he treated us very badly. He was not able to handle a small booking error and instead chose to argue with us. We had to call Expedia to resolve the booking error. When we went to the restaurant for breakfast, tables were full of bread crumbs. People smoked in the lobby as well.

Strong fragranced air misters throughout the lobby and restaurant…overwhelming. They may have been trying to cover the strong smell of mold that the room we had smelled of. It is a very humid city. The air conditioning fan didn’t seem to run very well. Thread bare towels. One each. No hand towels. No water in the rooms. Or coffee maker, etc. but that might not be standard in Morocco. It was a nice enough place just needs some fixes.
