"The hotel, restaurant and spa were lovely but everything is closed on Tuesdays (which we did not know before booking) A car is absolutely essential, and the staff were no help whatsoever in helping us accommodate not having one. The tastings for the vineyard are 8km from the site and on Tuesdays the restaurant is closed. There is also no bar or restaurant for lunch in the week. Huge old fashioned room in the ancient farm building but modern bathroom attached. The real reason for coming though is dinner - in their beautiful courtyard restaurant. Simple but beautifully done classic Italian food served with charm and attention. Quiet at night. Generous and great value. Faultless. And a wonderful breakfast in the morning"
