"Hotel sited amidst multi-storey blocks in urban situation. Some noise from traffic and building construction. Cheap transport into Lisbon area. Hotel offered free hourly taxi service to local station on weekdays. Large supermkt within short walking distance. View of bay but no local beach. Outstanding staff, good English spoken, helpful, friendly, welcoming, ready to assist on any issue. Nearby National Park worth a tour. Highly recommended for adults, not much to do for children. "

The home was spotlessly clean, spacious and ideally located with a 10 minute into the heart of Cascais. Our hosts recommendations for dining were spot on and the local history was fascinating. "Authentic home in Portugal that once was a farm. Original cobble stone and building structure with some relics remain. This property will soon transform to a wellness spa keeping its heritage intact. I was greeted by wonderful staff and enjoyed beautiful breakfasts overlooking the ocean vista. In front of the hotel, the restaurant is fantastic and great walking distance from the town, with an easy lane for walking, jogging or biking. "

"What an incredible experience! Built in the 1940s (I believe) on a 17th century fort on a windblown beach in a national park? Yes please! The natural beauty alone is worth staying here. But the use of stone and wood and natural elements was superb. I saw some reviews complain about the age of the place. Well my room and the whole wing appears quite new. Decor is simple and comfortable and more than spacious enough for Americans. My room (#50) had a huge patio with views of both the dunes and the beach! Housekeeping works hard here! Keeping the sand out when it blows in the air and folks track it in must be impossible but I walked barefoot in my room with no grit. The best part was the service. They let me put my luggage in early and after I checked out so I could walk the beach. They even walked me to my room. Very helpful despite language barriers- MINE, my Portugese is non existent. Hands signals and smiles and patience fixed that. If you need a day or two of quiet after a busy city like Lisbon I highly recommend this local beach off the beaten track"

"Absolutely loved staying here. Everyone we encountered was very nice and helpful. It is the perfect spot if you want to spend some time in Lisbon but don’t want to be around the hectic night life. The resort is super clean and parking is everywhere. The only thing is the smell of the air freshener they use on the hallways. It is very strong and really doesn’t smell good. "
