Home has spectacular views. It is situated in the countryside surrounded by farms (we saw pigs from our vantage point on the terrace). The location is good for day trips within an hour to Florence, San Gigminano, Siena, etc. Lucca (is closer to 2 hours). You will need a car. The house is actually 2 apartments with 2 bedrooms each. There is a kitchen downstairs in one apartment we did not use. We mainly stayed upstairs. We mostly only slept/showered there as we were on the go each day. Beds were a little hard for our liking. There is no indoor hang out space other than a couch & TV in the upstairs kitchen. This did not matter to us since we we didn’t spend much time at the villa. There is a 3rd apartment that is occupied, so you share the grounds and pool if you are there in warmer weather. We did not use the pool area or outdoor spaces as it was cool while we were there. Enzo (owner) and his wife were lovely and very responsive. Gave us a tour on arrival and showed us where everything was located. Casole d Elsa is a small town with just a few restaurants and a couple of shops. Worth a walk thru for the views.
