Not so typical Andalusian village - Castellar is built inside a castle. It was abandoned in the 70s by locals who went to live in a new town outside the castle walls. Later abandoned buildings were occupied by German hippies. Now the village inside the castle is populated mostly by expats, artists and retirees. "We have just come back from a lovely break at this farmhouse. The location is ideal - not being too far from local amenities, whilst itself being peaceful and quiet. The children loved the pool and large garden (as well as the piano!). The farmhouse has a lovely personal feel about it and is very welcoming. It was very clean and well presented. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and near by if needed. We would certainly stay at this farmhouse again in future, and highly recommend...

"Good location, very large bed, large room, supply of coffee, tea and water. Nice balcony, helpful and friendly staff. On-line check-in didn't work, even after around 6 emails about it, but that did not cause any problems."

"This is a fantastic hotel positioned on a lovely plaza with loads of restaurants. Nice terrace around the hotel. You can hear the buzz from plaza in room but when windows are closed, it’s silent. Our room was very comfortable and very clean. Super comfy bed. Quality bed linen. Quiet air con, great shower. Good breakfast choices. The pool is small but perfect. Great views to the beach, the city and the mountains. The staff were exceptional. Always friendly, helpful and smiling. "
