"This was the highlight of our trip to the midi-Pyrenees. Set in a tiny village in rolling hills, close to many delightful medieval towns and the amazing city of Albi. (best to locate on google maps on phone - not the TomTom) Isabelle made us very welcome - she emailed me 2 days before to ask what time to expect us, if we wished to have dinner, and any food preferences.. "This unusual property has been sensitively renovated to preserve a wealth of original features. The light touch gives visitors a chance to glimpse what life might have been like when it was used as a farm house for the chateau. While very close to Cordes, the setting, beside fields and in amongst trees, makes it a very peaceful location. During our stay many bats, stars and a few meteors were seen in the night sky. The pool, with its fence for keeping the deer at bay, was wonderful!"
