New Galloway is a quiet little village with an excellent village shop, lovely coffee shops and the Catstrand, an Arts and Information Centre and Theatre. From Sunnyside you really are only a stones throw from the Galloway Forest Park, the first Dark Sky Park in the UK, where you can marvel at the most amazing starry night skies and is a hugely popular area for walkers and cyclists and is home to dramatic and ancient woodland, some truly magnificent scenery and wildlife and can also claim two of the world famous 7Stanes mountain bike trails at Kirroughtree and Glentrool. From Sunnyside you can also explore the stunning coastline around the area which is breathtaking with many sandy beaches, dramatic cliff top walks and pretty little harbour villages to explore.
