"Montcuq is such a pretty place and this is a lovely house to stay in. The house is just a few minutes walk to a fantastic boulangerie and you can wander to restaurants and cafes and watch the world go by, all without having to drive. The house is spacious and nicely decorated, with everything you can think of for a great stay. It has a massive garden and outbuildings, so perfedt for a family. We will return, but with the whole family, as there's so many areas to relax in. A real find."

"Si la maison se trouve dans un cadre idyllique avec un court de tennis, en revanche, un ensemble de manquements et de dysfonctionnements nous ont gâché le séjour... Outre le manque de propreté et des toiles d'araignée, il manquait des verres (Obligé d'en acheter), il y avait qu'un seul parasol (Autour de la table) et aucun autour de la piscine (Difficile d'en profiter..). "The area was a little remote, but the house was exactly as described and plenty big enough for 3 family groups with a wide range in children’s ages. The outside areas worked brilliantly well, plenty of shade or sun as required. The area was really peaceful and we had deer wandering around the area. The property owner was really helpful with all our questions and responded really quickly. If I’m being picky due to the heatwave we would have appreciated. Air con in the downstairs bedrooms....

"We thoroughly recommend La Taillade, having just spent a most enjoyable fortnight there. The house is very handsome, offering complete rural privacy at the end of a driveway through sunflower fields. The views beyond the house over the valley below are gorgeous. "Sadly the pool was is need of substantial repair. The cracked slabs and crumbling cement around the pool was dangerous for bare feet and attracted wasps to nest. Not ideal for young children and babies. There was a constant bad smell in the kitchen due to drainage problems in the area of the sink. The setting is idyllic and very peaceful in amongst the forest but we got bitten alive with all the woodland mosquitoes."
