"We absolutely loved our stay at Grand Hotel Vesuvio and would highly recommend it, especially if you’re visiting Naples for the first time. The location was one of our favorite things about the hotel. It’s right on the waterfront, close to the harbor and ferry terminals, and perfect for evening walks along the Lungomare. Naples can feel very busy and overwhelming in certain areas, so we really appreciated coming back to this part of the city each day. The area around the hotel felt cleaner, calmer, and safer to us, while still being very convenient for exploring the rest of Naples and taking ferries to the nearby islands. The hotel itself has so much character and history. Grand Hotel Vesuvio dates back to 1882, and you can really feel that sense of old-world elegance throughout the property. There is something special about staying in such a historic hotel overlooking the Bay of Naples and Castel dell’Ovo. Our room and the entire property were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The service was amazing from beginning to end. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Breakfast was also top-notch and one of the best parts of our stay. There was a wonderful selection, everything was fresh, and the service each morning was excellent. "To understand the review you have to visualize this is a building from the 17th century meaning although the rooms have modern comfort (WiFi, AC, hot water, etc) the main infrastructure in from a few hundred years ago. In our case this meant we have to climb 7 flights of stairs to get to our room (96 total steps). The stairs are wide and comfortable to climb but still almost 100 steps. If you have any sort of mobility issue this is not the hotel for you. If you need wheelchair access this is definitely not the hotel for you. If you are comfortable climbing roughly 70 steps to get to the reception and probably more to get to your room then you might want to consider this hotel. The price was great and it’s location in the historic center makes it ideal for walking places. Sansevero church was roughly 15’ walking, pretty much all level. For some other areas some stairs climbing might be required. There was a mini market around the corner, a laundromat about 3 blocks and a fantastic sit down"

"The place was nice. Lobby & breakfast area on the main floor were really nice and well kept. Breakfast and bag of various travel amenities were awesome. The room itself was ok. It smelled a little funny before we turned on the AC. Once we did that it was ok. The room was functional and was clean."
