"Unsere Anreise war durch eine Autopanne um fünf Stunden verspätet. In Dunkelheit und im Regen begaben wir uns auf die Suche nach dem Schlüssel. Die angegebene Adresse war nicht ganz korrekt - abgesehen davon, dass der Straßenname an einer Hausfassade ausgeblichen und unlesbar war konnten wir auch die angegebene Hausnummer 9 nicht finden. Heute glauben wir, dass uns der San Bartholomeo geführt hat, so dass wir an einem Eingangstor mit der Nummer 25 ein Schild „Casa dei libri entdeckt haben und...

"Perfektes Haus. Alles sehr sauber. Gut ausgestattet. Die Organisation der Reise war super. Die Übergabe und Einweisung vor Ort war einwandfrei. Man kann sehr viel unternehmen vor Ort und in der näheren Umgebung. Perfekter Urlaub zum ausspannen. Perfekte Aussicht. Restaurants im Ort und auf dem Berg sehr zu empfehlen. Viele Wanderwege am Ort."

"This property has a big problem that you only realise on arrival. There are 134 narrow and steep steps (around 8 storeys) to climb to bring up your luggage (and groceries during your stay). When travelling with an infant and a pregnant wife this is far from ideal. Once you make it up, though, the view pays off the climb. It is stunning! However, mosquitoes won't let you enjoy it for long. Those little things are vicious! Another issue we found was that the garden was not fenced so or daughter...

"The property is spectacularly situated, but is somewhat difficult to find, one has to cross the neighbours’ ground to approach. The appartment was reasonably tidy, but the furniture needs refurbishment. The lower compartiment is used for storage of garden equipment and is severely smelling (fuel damps of the grassmower) and can therefore not be used as a sleeping facility. The swimming pool was clean."

From the pictures and description posted on Expedia/VRBO we expected this property to be the highlight of our tour. Both were misleading. "A fantastic setting with views to spoil you forever. Clean and tidy house, however we encountered some issues. A shower had been removed from the top bathroom, which we were not informed about, making our stay difficult as we were two adult couples and all had to share a shower downstairs. The bathroom and second bedroom upstairs have limited head height and you will bump your head. The second bedroom is really only for children!! The bedroom doors are glazed with clear glass, we had to sticky...

"Man hat alles was man braucht: Rustikales Haus ( d.h. eigentlich mehrere kleine Häuschen- in einem die Küche, eines als Schlafzimmer, eines als Wohn-und Schlafraum und ein Bad), super Blick, Ruhe, große Terrasse. Wandermöglichkeiten, Lago Maggiore in ca 20 min mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Wasser von der Quelle. Schlüsselübergabe unkompliziert. Gerne wieder!"

"Nothing could have prepared us for how special and unique this location was. The home lies in a stone village on an enchanted mountain woven with waterfalls and mists. The host was gracious, has an excellent kitchen for cooking, and a special set of fireplaces to keep you warm in winter. Traveled with a small dog too, who also very much enjoyed this magical spot. We couldn't have been happier with every aspect of our stay. Perfetto!"
