"Staff was not quite as friendly as my others, starting right after you opened. Front desk, bartender. Hope they have plenty of support and appreciation. "

"WE CHECKED IN WITH 5 PEOPLE, THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGHT BLANKETS. THEY SAID HEY WERE OUT. NONE OF TGHE PRODUCTS IN BATHROOM SHOWER HAD ANY PRODUCT IN THE. NO TOWELS. NO CUPS, NO COFFEE/ THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE EN OUGHT PILLOWS. THEY SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE MASTERS GOING ON AT THE SAME TIME. ALSO 5:30AM THE FIRE ALARMA WENT OFF. WE CALLED THE FRONT DESK, THEY SAID FALSE ALARM. IT WAS NOT A FALSE ALARM. CONFERENCE ROOM A WENT ON FIRE. WE HAD TO EVACUATE TO OUTSIDE THE BUILDING, THE HALLWAYS AND ROOM WAS FILLED WITH SMOKE. THANK GOD WE LEFT THE ROOM, AND DID NOT LISTEN TO RECEPTIONIST. WE HAD NOT SUPPLIES. WE DID NOT GET ENOUGHT COFFEE, OR CUPS/STIRRERS, NOTHING. THEY SAID THEY WERE ALL OUT. AND WHEN YOU ENTER THE LOBBY, THERE IS A SHELF FREE TO GUEST TO GRAB A WATER. WE WENT TO GRAB A BOTTLE EACH. AFTER OUR DRIVE WE WERE THIRSTY. I WAS TOLD "NO" ONE PER FAMILY. 1 BOTTLE OF WATER! "

"The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The dog noise from a nearby room throughout the day and evening was discouraging, and my wife could find no way to contact the front desk about it by phone. The outside of the building was not as well cared for as the room. Also, loud music noise from a car parked outside at 2:30 am was annoying. We checked out at 3:15 am and won't come back."

"We were in Columbia overnight for a graduation at Fort Jackson. The hotel was in a great spot-close to great food, bars, and the capital. Staff were exceptional. The in-hotel bar was lovely. Room was super clean and very comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely stay again if we are ever back in town."

"The house was clean and neat, inside and outside. However, the photos and description did not accurately portray the neighborhood. We never felt unsafe or concerned, but the neighborhood was not as "nice" as implied. I would stay there again, but with different expectations. Things that would make this property and experience better: 1) Really need to repair/replace the exhaust fan in the hall bathroom. It will soon destroy itself. 2) Door knob in master-bathroom is slipping and extremely difficult to operate. My 90yr old dad got stuck in the bathroom until we finally heard him calling for help. 3) Add a Keurig! We brought pods with us, because we thought that the photos showed a Keurig. We made it work with the drip machine, but would much prefer a Keurig. 4) Please make it plain that there are no condiments in the kitchen pantry. Only salt and pepper were provided. All of the other VRBOs and ABNBs that I have stayed in had a modest supply of spices and oil (EVOO please!!) for cooking. We had to purchase all of these to do our cooking. 5) Check in was OK, but check out was a bit confusing. I followed the texted link to the checkout instructions, the night before to be sure we prepped for departure, but NOT check-out. Next morning link was dead, so I couldn't double-check instructions, nor officially "checkout". Couldn't contact Host. Overall, stay was good. We would stay again, but would would like to see the above items addressed. Many Thanks and God Bless!!"

"Breakfast choices were excellent. Linens were scratchy. Staff was impeccable. HVAC was somewhat noisy. Location was perfect … walking distance to good food and the University. "

"Lovely hotel. Super friendly staff. The best part was the shower. Super hot water, fantastic water pressure. A decent shower is surprisingly rare in hotels. Please dont ever change a thing. I'll definitely consider returning."

"My daughter and I stayed here while visiting and touring the University of South Carolina, and it was a great experience. The home was very clean, in a convenient location to campus, and made our trip easy and comfortable. The owner was also very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again."
