"EXCELLENT FOOD AND FRIENDLY STAFF. LOVELY QUIET LOCATION "

"Room was small but lovely. Very noisy at nights which we didnt mind but bare in mind when booking. Breakfast delicious both mornings. Very cluttered with junk in the corridoors and corners which doesn't look great but also could be a fire hazard? Staff really friendly. Good size car park behind. Lovely pub. Great price."

So, I was left standing there with my bags with other customers trying to get past me to order drinks - until somebody else turned up. The room was on a terrace next to a children's play area, so it was noisy until the pub part closed. Still, the room was cosy enough. I was told that, when checking out, I could ask the staff present the following morning for an invoice. But, there...

"Wonderful room, very spacious and cool. Yes air conditioning goes a long way these days for the beginning of an English summer. Breakfast was also quite nice, it was freshly cooked and generous. If I’m ever headed down this way again, I’ll be sure to stay again. "

"Stayed for one night whilst visiting family. friendly check in , easy to find. Accommodation was clean everything was in working order. Only thing that would need improvement was the pillows , as they were very soft but this of course is preference. Bedding very thick and too heavy during a heat wave. "A lovely place to stay, spotlessly clean and great service. Great food in the bar and all very reasonably priced. Becky in housekeeping provided excellent service in the rooms. It was an ideal place to stay with easy access to Hay and to the cafe in the airstrip. We will return if we go back that way again."

"The accommodation is lovely, it’s in its own little courtyard, which is accessed via the pub, which is a friendly establishment. The only downside is that in common with a lot of Ludlow, the kitchen closed at 7.30, which meant I bought a takeaway from the Chinese round the corner and they missed out on a food and drink order."

"The rooms are very comfortable, once you have passed through the hallway. The inn was quiet in the evening and convenient to the Iron Bridge and to the Bedlam furnaces. There are more nice walks across the river. Both the evening meal and the more-than-full English breakfast were excellent! "
