"I really liked the brand new room. Nice design and super comfy bed. Plus free coffee is a nice addition to the experience there. Loved it.
Plus my personal highlight were the nice views into the historical center of Arezzo."

"What an absolutely beautiful stay, in a stunning place. Our host was attentive and kind, and the food was wonderful. The hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean, and particularly for my needs on a road trip with my 18 year old son, the accommodation offering two adjoining bedrooms was perfect, and we could park outside. Also very good value in my opinion. I would definitely return, it’s also ideal for couples and I would love to bring my wife here. "

"Absolutely a 5 star hotel suite. Big rooms. In a mixed use high rise building. A little off the beaten path. Found no problem with walking to the majority of the old town sites."

"Small family-owned inn located in center of Civitella in Val di Chiana. Room was comfortable and included all we needed. It was cold upon check-in which the co-owner tried to remedy with a space heater. It took a while. The room warmed up after the first night. The other co-owner kindly offered me our first night complimentary. (Thank you again.). The breakfast was simple and included fruit, juice, yogurt, sliced cheese and cold cut, packages sweets, tea, coffee and water. The owners were...

"Excellent location, genuine warmth and extreme generosity is what we found here. If you want a nice, safe, homely place to stay a few days, this is it. Very clean, the most comfortable bed we've slept in a month in Italy, and more breakfast pastries and snacks then we could ever eat. Fresh milk and juice also provided daily. Small kitchen perfect for preparing simple meals, and the restaurant downstairs has excellent homemade food and the nicest folks you'll meet. Thank you to Julia for...

"This small quaint hotel absolutely MADE my trip to Italy!! I will never forget the kindness shown to my friend and me ~ we were instantly made to feel at home and felt like we were treated like their "special guests"! The hotel was so endearing. So charming. The view from my room was magnificent ~ I'm sure I took 200 photos just from my window! The included breakfast upstairs with practically a 300° view looking over the landscape and rooftops was delicious. It was a wonderfully calm way to start each day there; I could have wasted much of my time there, just soaking up the view, the colors, the atmosphere and the friendly staff ~ all the while sipping my tea :-). The hotel is not overlooking the noise of the bustling square, but just a few steps down a cobbled street and you are at their front door...not even a one minute walk, but a much quieter setting....should one appreciate that as I do. Just writing this, I'm thinking "I'm not sure I'll ever in my life be blessed to make it back to Italy, but if I am, I have no doubts where I'll be staying!"
My stay was in the heat of August of 2026... The owners said to come back at Christmas ~ as it is "really, really something at Christmas time!" I'm not sure how it could be better, but one year I hope maybe I greet them again and find out!"
"The host was very nice and met us at the property. She gave us a tour of the apartment and explained everything for us. She also provided some good snacks made by her mother and a bottle of wine. The location is perfect for visiting Cortana and many other small towns in the area. We had a wonderful time during our stay."
"This is a charming hotel housed in a 15th century palazzo as close as you can get to the center of Cortona. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Plus you can pull your car up for luggage drop off - a real convenience in a town center where cars are otherwise restricted.
Just note this hotel is in an old building. Not all rooms are serviced by elevator - some stairs required. And like any historic property the facilities have charming quirks - rooms but not all public facilities have A/C, lighting is low and there are no amenities on site other than a lovely buffet breakfast you can enjoy inside or in a garden setting.
However its location steps from Cortona’s Piazza Republica, restaurants and shops make up for any shortcomings!"
Villa di Piazzano - Small Luxury Hotel of the World
10/10 Excellent
"Stunning little hotel with the most beautiful setting, gardens and pool. The room was exceptionally appointed clean. The best part of the stay was the restaurant. The best meals we had on our entire trip. Definitely recommend hiring e-bikes and riding up to Cortona!"
