Firehouse Hostel
Austin Greenhouse Rentals
2.0 star property
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (13)
"This property was an ok stay but could use improvement. Common areas are recorded for safety of guests which is understandable but if you don’t feel comfortable being recorded just something to keep in mind. Overall we still appreciated the stay as it was within budget. Pros: Location, parking, quiet neighborhood, washer/dryer available, kitchen had utensils, affordable Cons: Lock from kitchen to garage area was broken/missing. Native Hostel Austin
2.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (59)
"I appreciated how every bed had an outlet, and wifi was available (albeit hard to log on at first). The beds were comfy and the shower rooms provided soap/shampoo/conditioner. Also loved how I could walk straight out for a drink at the bar (didn't try the restaurant). My only disappointment was that the complimentary breakfast offering was paltry, but it feels silly to expect a continental breakfast considering the great price."

Drifter Jack's Hostel
2.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very Good, (178)
"I heard from an employee at another hostel that this place is permanently closed? Wow. Well I will give a good review but will qualify it to say that the staff came off immature and annoying even if they were likeable. Housekeeping was great, very thorough."

"Check in process is complicated. Did not receive code before arrival so could not get into car park, they said I had not completed check in process but did everything I had been asked to. However once checked in everything was fine, a bit of building work going on in a few rooms but as we were there at the weekend there was no noise. It was a good location for walking to 6th street and to see the bats. Just wish I had realised that the bed in the studio room was a sofa bed but that might be my...
