"Quaint and comfy cottage and you can't beat the view. An added bonus was the pods of dolphins we watched in the morning from the deck. We also rented a golf cart for the week and had a blast exploring the island. Cottage was very clean and well stocked. Communication with Debbie was excellent. Overall, a great place to stay on Ocracoke."

"We were sooo happy with our stay at Blackbeard. The best cleaning I have seen in a long time and very friendly and helpful staff. Shout out to Cynthia ! It’s in a great area on the island. The shower was hot and good pressure. Beds weren't bad at all. I will choose there again next time 100%%%. We didn’t utilize the pool Because it was freezing cold Water but it was nice and clean area."

"This is a beautiful immaculately kept house and property. The hosts Richard and Brenda could not be kinder and were so helpful in answering questions . It is a perfect quiet secluded sanctuary on the water , .but not a far drive from the town of Beaufort or the ferry to Cape lookout. I had a wonderful stay there and I can't wait to go back. This place is a treasure."

"The host is very friendly and helpful. We had some issues with the door lock and he was able to reset the lock instantly over the phone during check in. The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen are very clean with more than enough supplies, although the kitchen plates are all plastic and worn. The retreat is very cozy and is only 7 minutes from the ferry, very convenient. We had a good sleep."

"The outlets in the loft only work if the light is on so you are unable to use the fan/charge phones etc. unless the lights are on. I would recommend bringing a battery powered fan it can get quite hot up there at night even with the AC on. Overall good experience!"
