"Right on the edge of city centre, everything no more than 10 minute walk. Loads of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby. Hotel clean, tidy and comfortable, staff were superb, nothing a problem. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again. Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel de France."

Housekeeping discovered it even before I knew of my mistake, the desk called me and kindly arranged to have it sent to me by post. (I paid for postage expenses, of course.) "Breakfast was a joke. Tiny mid croissants, plain bread, and some boiled eggs for $11 euros a person. Lol. Location is extremely convenient. Staff is nice but is present for about 2 hours of the day. Room had no tissues. Could hear people next door."

"The room I was in was extremely noisy. Whenever somebody used water above me, I could hear it rushing through the walls or pipes. It woke me up several times over the night. I really wouldn’t stay here again, the lack of sleep was a little bit distressing."

"Beautiful pool and garden, beautiful quiet location - house was good but old fashioned and required more thorough cleaning and attention to detail on cleaning crockery, checking for bugs in house (cleaning again) and ensuring that all facilities were in good working order which they were not. Heating was broken, dishwasher did not clean properly, no hot water in evening, then internet went down in storm affecting TV, with little to no contact with owner. This house needs TLC as did we so we felt cold, neglected and disappointed with our holiday. Apart from one load of logs for the fire which cheered us up we were pretty much ignored by the owner except when he arrived to check the heating and the plumber tried to fix. But it came on once at 2am then that was it. So very sorry but it was all too frustrating. Better communication is required. "
