A very old and noisy hotel

This hotels claims to be a boutique hotel. Well, if that requires an old hotel that’s correct. But for me a boutique hotel needs to be more than that. The insulation is very thin or even non existing, which means that the room is cold (even during summer) and noisy from outside and the corridor. But you can also hear the train from outside every hour during the night. When we came to our room the sofa bed wasn’t very well done. We would not stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay

We absolutely loved this hotel. It was different from any hotel we have stayed in. The building first built on 1920, was beautiful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The he restaurant there was the best!

This was a beautiful very old venue with lots of history and ambience. It’s quaint and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We would have liked to have a small fridge in the room but otherwise I highly recommend for a lovely getaway

Charming and clean

What a quaint little place. It feels like you're staying in someone's home. Our room only had a bath which I thought was going to be inconvenient but my daughter and I ended up loving it. It forced us to relax which was much needed. The breakfast place attached, Berry Cafe was also amazing. We'd definitely stay here again.

Historic Hotel

Hotel is located in a historic building and is convenient within walking distance of town shops, restaurants and bars. Helpful staff, clean and the king room with sofa was actually two rooms which was very spacious. Decor is antique and rooms were clean, robes and wifi. No tv, and train close by- they supply ear plugs. Would definitely recommend to friends.

First night stay of a roadtrip. Lovely experience

We stayed in a room with a separate living area. The whole suite was lovely and the original features of the building had been sympathetically restored and highlighted. Room was clean and well equipped, including bath robes, which was a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant downstairs and the foid was excellent with friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This hotel is so cute and affordable. We are a family of 5 and the King Suite offered space for all of us. The only downside is that there is no table for eating and the elevator ding at night kept me awake. Our youngest wore the ear plugs probided and slept right through it.

This place is like stepping back into the 1920's. Hardwood floors, marble bathrooms, very nice. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless. The only downside was that the water pressure in the shower was so low, it was like trying to take a shower under a kniked garden hose.

It was nice to stay in a historical building, but if you only want a bed and bathroom, then your good. Room did not have a TV or a fridge. Dinner within the building was very expensive for both Dinner and Breakfast. Nice it was convenient, but very pricey.

Clean and Classic

Super-clean, friendly hotel with classic fixtures. We stayed in the regal King suite on the second floor. A great break from characterless highway hotels. Be aware: Trains blow their horns through the night. We did not find it too disturbing. Some second floor windows look out onto the balcony, which may be occupied during some hours. A screen provides some privacy. There is a large clawfoot tub, but no shower - alas!

What a CUTE hotel! I felt like I time traveled back to the early 1900s and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel is thoughtfully decorated with original black and white photos from it's heyday inception. It's in a great location (restaurants, bars and activities are two short blocks away), clean and secure. Our room was spacious, located near the terrace and comfortable. Sherry was wonderful - she went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay and brought towels within minutes of the request. Note: there are NO TVs in the room. This disappointed my 10-year-old greatly, but we (the parents) relished it. A few things to note: this hotel is near the railroad crossing in Centralia. It gets noisy sometimes in the middle of the night. That's neither here or nor there, but I know people love to nit pick, so I wanted to point that out. This wouldn't sway me from staying here again. Next, come with proper expectations: if you're looking for modern, state-of-the-art, room-serviced sterile room with all the typical 4-5 start amenities, this place isn't it for you. If you're seeking a quiet place to rest your head with excellent customer service, all while be steeped in the rich history of Centralia, this is the sick ticket.

I like how the owners have attempted to bring back an old building and have maintained much of its original state. However, it felt dowdy coming in with big drapes covering the restaurants and side walls. It needs a bit of a modern lift - colours, plants, etc. it was comfortable in the room with a good bed. The train going by about 5 or 6 times at night was not pleasant. The employees were very helpful. Overall, I’m sorry to say but I would not stay there again.
