Céré-la-Ronde (Indre-et-Loire) Château de Montpoupon (Indre et Loire). Ils le transformèrent en une demeure de style Renaissance En 1857 Jean-Baptiste de la Motte Saint Pierre, arrière grand père de l'actuelle propriétaire, acheta le château. La famille fit des travaux extérieurs (fin XIXème) et intérieur (1920) afin de redonner à Montpoupon l'aspect Renaissance qu'il présente aujourd'hui. In the Middle Ages, Loches was then in the hands of Fulk Nerra Montrichard andbelonged to his enemy Eudes Count of Blois. Halfway between these two cities,Montpoupon was a strategic location. It was the scene of bloody fighting. The fourteenth century, Montpoupon passed to the lords of Requests andBuzançais. Antoine de Prie and his wife, Madeleine d'Amboise, the castle rebuilt it in 1460.They turned it into a Renaissance-style mansion In 1857 John Baptist de la Motte St. Pierre, great grandfather of the current owner,bought the castle. The family was outside work (end of XIX) and interior (1920) to give back to Renaissance Montpoupon appearance it has today.
