"A wonderful place to stay, the building is incredible, with a unique history. It is perfectly comfortable, despite the age. The beds were good and with a good choice of pillows! The kitchen is small but adequate, it had everything and very good quality knives (very important for any cook!). The gardens are incredible, the kids enjoyed spotting lizards, splashing in the water course for the old mill wheel and running around the grass area. We saw so much wildlife in the garden with some surprise...

"I get the feeling the owners have just bought this house & are just starting to rent it out. It seems they have upgraded some parts of the apartment but others are old i.e. the kitchen doors look new, but the carcasses are very old. The lounge felt like it was missing a tv. There was a sofa for 2 facing a wall, with your back to the views of the hills, which felt odd. Personally, when I book an apartment for 4 people I expect 4 people to comfortably be able to sit in the lounge at the same...

It has everything needed for cooking in the kitchen or bbq’ing on the terrace, and the setting within an old castle complex and in the midst of mountainous nature is just awesome. "Il Nido offers wonderful views in a very private setting. It is a 12 minute drive to Fivizzano so you’ll want to plan your groceries for the stay. There are hiking trails accessible right at the entrance gate. The host is very accommodating. If want a peaceful and relaxing stay this is a great choice."

"The villa was located in a very peaceful location we stayed as a family group of 8 and overall had a great stay although there were positives and negatives. "This was exactly what we were looking for after a busy week in florence and Rome. Quaint spot with a private pool. We cooked supper the first night on our private patio on a little charcoal grill and then the second night cooked inside our own little kitchen. Absolutely loved it. "The old mill is beautifully renovated with all the amenities needed for a very relaxing stay. The pool was always clean and when we had small problems with the lights the host came right away and took care of it. It's right next to a creek which is perfect for a quick bath in the morning. Elisabetta is the best host and the area around the house very beautiful. We would always come back."

"When I dreamt of visiting Tuscany, Villa Olivi was what I dreamt of. It was perfect for our friends and us. The views are incredible, and the house was very comfortable and accommodating. As withers have expressed, there is one tight squeeze going up the hill in a car, but otherwise the whole experience was magical."
