"Everything was great - movie night and s'mores were a bonus for granddaughter"

"Hotel room and bed was clean and well kept. Bonus is that all of the rooms have lake view. The hotel has beach access with deck chairs. All in all good value. However a couple of niggles are. The mattress was a bit lumpy probably at the end of its useful life. There is no coffee maker in the room. So if you want a coffee or tea in the morning you have to go foraging in town. Lastly the pool was shut down but we weren't informed that this was going to be the case."

"Recently did the Spartan Race in Big Bear. The hotel was in walking distance (~15 min) from Big Bear Mountain Resort. Hotel was clean, plenty of lounge space, breakfast was good, and staff were friendly and offered tips of where to eat. Its also less than 10 min drive from just about anything to do in town. Definitely will book again when visiting."

"Check-in was tedious, after 5 you must call the office; I checked in at 8, I had to stand outside at the door and call two different numbers to reach someone. When they answered they made me feel as though I interrupted their rest and asked with a doubtful tone if I was at the door .The unit- the front door's bottom door knob was flimsy and loose.It had an old, stale unpleasant odor. The couches seemed old, cushion stuffing was coming out and they were not inviting, we covered them with sheets. The comforters on the beds wreaked of musty and gross odors. The pillows need updating.The bottom level was freezing but the middle and upper levels were hot, temperature was drastically uneven among the floors.The kitchen amenities were very underwhelming. The wood decor is impressive and the showers were nicely decorated.The representive that came to check us in was nice and engaging (different person answered the phone)."

"Rooms photograph well but choices were made for design and not function. Lighting at the bathroom sink was too dim to get ready, bedside lights were all glare and closet area has no light I could find. Housekeeping let down the experience with some visible oversights in the bed and bath. The mattress, pillows, and towels were nice."
