"Just right for my needs. Good location for access to town plus free parking. Unfortunately I did have noisy people in adjoining rooms who played loud music and the room the other side had tv on loud but that’s the lack of concern for others that’s all too common now and not the fault of the guest house. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the small menu was all very tasty. Other good pubs in the village for a change of scenery but good beer and camaraderie in the Rose and Crown."

"It’s hard to find fault with this lovely b&b. Room was immaculate and comfortable with some lovely little touches. Our host was so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was substantial and delicious. We were able to both park on site and charge our car. Location was quiet and a 15 minute walk into the city with some lovely restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend- thank you for a lovely stay. "

"Very welcoming hosts. Stayed in a cabin in the garden of the property; very cosy, great super king size bed & huge shower. Plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits that could be replenished daily. You could order breakfast at the same cost as ordering with the booking. Approx 25minute walk from the station down the crab & winkle way. Nice outdoor seating to have drinks/food at. Helpful to be able to leave our luggage at the accommodation on the last day. A great trip - definitely recommend!"

"Disappointing stay (Joss room) which was a shame as location was perfect for me. Shower was broken, was offered communal shower but on close inspection I decided not to use. Blind in room doesn’t close properly, lots of light coming in, very noisy fountain out front which you can still hear with windows closed. Very poor Wi-Fi. Pub itself was lovely, staff friendly, no food on Mondays though."

"We had booked a boat on the Thames for my 50th birthday for bank holiday weekend.. two days before we were due to leave it was cancelled due to the rivers being on red alert. Having spent months planning it we didn’t know what to do instead. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Le Chateaux was available. Communication was great, checkin was easy as we were met and handed keys. The house was clean, tidy and welcoming with local wine left for us. We had the most relaxing stay and really enjoyed...
