More than we hoped for!
We spent five days in Fin and Feather to celebrate a wedding and it was, as the groom said, "everything we hoped for and more". There was sooooo much space, the grounds are amazing and the kitchen was perfect for a group. We hosted an executive chef to cook for us one evening and the dining room was perfect - with more than enough seating and table space. The Carriage House kitchen and the ice maker in the laundry room surprised us - somehow we missed those items in the house description. As we sat around the fire one evening, we even conspired to make an annual trip to Fin and Feather! Here's hoping we can make that come true!

Ideal historic mountain retreat with charm
The property is nestled within glorious tall
pines with manicured lawns, picturesque ponds, walking paths and bridges. The buildings burst with unexpected craftsmanship- stone fireplaces, flagstone walkways and covered porches. They were fun to explore. The kitchen is modern and easy to host a large group - We had ten adults and two children. The dinning room sets 26! We absolutely loved the custom built bocce ball court - complete with lights - and a group played into the night as others sat around the fire pit. The property includes dry wood and kindle. The children found the game room fascinating and put on plays discovering the hidden compartments in the poker table and cabinetry. The three buildings provided enough space for people to enjoy some peace and quiet while the kitchen and huge covered porch became the meeting spaces to plot the day. The ponds are stocked with 24 inch rainbow trout and the groundskeeper left fish food for the kids to feed them. Absolutely a charming unique getaway that still feels a bit rustic. Grandma said ‘it feels like the gatsby era’; and sure enough there was a croquet set ready by the door.
