It was great having a kitchenette.The hotel was within walking distance of old Montreal, St Catherine st is on the backside of the hotel. Excellent restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. Close to Bell Centre"

"It's a lovely hotel. We've stayed there many times. On this visit, we enjoyed the bar and communal areas. The room was peaceful, clean and spacious.We attended a concert nearby and walked to our venue, very convenient and safe location."

"Hotel was a welcome sight after a long day on Via Rail. It's an excellent location a few blocks away from Gare Centrale Via. Took me about 15 minutes to walk down the main boulevard. Hotel was busy with teams but they were no trouble other than breakfast being crazy busy at first light. Very good value here and my stay was very comfortable. Maintenance was quick to respond to an issue in the room. Reception staff were very friendly and everyone speaks English as well for those of us who are not very fluent in the local tongue. I hope to get back here again soon. "

"With some TLC and elbow grease, this could be a gem. However as it is, it gets very poor results for a reason. The property is older, and has not been upkept. That is part of the problem. Cracks in the wall, and peeling paint, being the most obvious defects. And the most easily fixed. I'm not saying that a fresh coat of paint will turn things around, but it is a definite step in the right direction. The staff were super nice, and very accomodating. Luckily I am also patient. The first room given was not the one we ordered (we ordered the jacuzzi). The next 2 rooms given to us had no heat. The final one also had no internal heater, but a working portable was in the room. It being late, and with limited options we settled in. The bed was extremely comfortable, and clean. Definitely no complaint there. If not for that, i would have left first thing in the morning. We decided to say the entire 4 days. The jacuzzi was somewhat a disappointment since the air inputs were blocked closed so very little pressure. In it's current state, i cannot recommend this motel except for emergency 1 night stays, or if you cannot afford anything more expensive. It's sad to see such potential wasted. If the current owner puts some money into this 100 room motel, it could be a gold mine. Until then, it is barely a coal mine."

"The service at the front desk is horrendous, with a very argumentative manager. The house-keeping service is terrible, with room cleaning provided only every 3 days. Totally inadequate. The hotel refused to respond to complaints about the telephone not working. - no dial tone. The internet service is poor, and the face basin was clogged. Despite repeated requests, the hotel staff refused to address these issues. If you request a taxi, the front desk calls Diamond Taxi only. The customer service of this provider is very poor."
