We had such a fantastic stay here. The large balcony and sea / beach views were phenomenal. Such an amazing room with fabulous shower room and lots of space. Great to watch the sunset over the sea from the balcony. The breakfasts were delicious, again with the wonderful sea view. We loved the private beach area with dedicated sun beds included in the hotel cost. The beach and sea were lovely to swim in too. Really friendly and helpful staff.

Great stay at Edgewater Hotel. Irina checked us in and couldn’t have been warmer and more helpful. Our room looked out over the water which was such a treat. We had a nice roomy suite with a sofa. Cleaners were good and unobtrusive. Breakfast was usual buffet fare and they were great about bringing us lattes from the bar downstairs. My only criticism and it is a small one is that had a hard time getting more than lukewarm water in the shower. Other than that, we had a great time.

The rooms are clean, new, facing the beach and the sunset. It’s beach front with complementary sunbeds. It’s on the boardwalk into the harbor. Quiet despite being on the boardwalk. Restaurants and bakeries close by. The manager gave us free ice coffee for our trip back to the airport! Highly recommend this hotel!

We loved our stay. The hotel is new, rooms were in great condition. The location is perfect. Beach is literally in front of the hotel with chairs for hotel guests. A nice restaurant and bar and multiple options are also close. It was a 10 minute walk to the old harbor area which was nice. I highly recommend this property. The employees were all incredibly friendly and helpful.

Our room faced the water with a large deck; it was perfect! The staff were welcoming and helpful, everyone from the front desk to housekeeping. Very good restaurants within a few blocks in either direction and Olde Town is a lovely area for shopping and day trips by boats or horse-drawn carriage. Excellent. Highly recommended!! I am already planning my next visit!!

Rarely do we ever stay in a hotel when we can’t find some little thing wrong. EdgeWater beach hotel was absolutely perfect! Nothing needed maintenance. Nothing needed painting touch ups. The curtains worked perfectly as did the sliding balcony doors. The location could not have been better and the private beach area was beautiful. Helen at the front desk was so helpful and knowledgeable. We can hardly wait to return!

It’s really hard to write this review. The hotel itself is great - it’s relatively new, across the road from the beach, free sunbeds and our waterfront room and balcony was amazing! Location and facilities wise it’s a 10/10. But sadly the housekeeping was less than satisfactory. After our first night we returned to find our room made up but the waste bin in the bathroom had not been emptied - in a country where you place your toilet paper in the waste bin I would think this is a priority. Unfortunately when I spoke to the gentleman at reception it he seemed surprised I requested it to be emptied?? Our toiletry items had also not been restocked and I had to request this. After our second night we returned very late and again no toiletries were restocked. We literally had no shower gel and no shampoo and in need of a shower after a full day at a beach. I had to ask again (the same gentleman) and was told “I’m not sure we have any” - seriously!! I was also told “we were really busy today so just cleaned the rooms quickly” - worrying!! After our third day we were left with no toilet paper - again a basic. The hotel also offers free beach towels but on two occasions when requesting them we were told “it’s finished” - no one told us you had to get them by a certain time before the clean towels run out! It’s really a shame as the hotel has so much promise but our whole experience was marred by what should be basic expectations.

Absolutely incredible stay! This was easily one of my favourite stays, and I would 100% come back again if I return to Chania. The beach is literally right there, and we had our own little beach beds and umbrella included at no extra cost, which was amazing. The room was extremely clean and comfortable, and the ocean view was incredible. The breakfast was also very good with plenty of options, and the staff were all so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We arrived quite early, and they were kind enough to have our room ready well before the usual check-in time, which we really appreciated. There are also quite a few great dining options nearby, and it’s only about a 15-minute walk to the main port. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend it. 10/10 — would definitely stay here again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel was spotless – everything felt perfectly clean and well maintained. Our room had an incredible view, and the private beach was such a highlight – peaceful, beautiful, and never too crowded. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They were always helpful, friendly, and especially accommodating with our baby, which made the trip even more enjoyable and stress-free. The location is also fantastic – just a quick 10-minute walk to the Old City, so it was easy to explore while still enjoying the relaxing atmosphere by the sea. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a mix of comfort, convenience, and charm.
