The Iason is located in a somewhat less busy area of the walled town. The neighborhood is historically rich and close to the harbor. Our suite had a well equipped kitchenette and a quaint balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpfull.

Old town gem

Amazing location dow a beautiful little alley, away from all the bar noises, we had such a warm welcome from our host , she gave us a few fabulous recommendations for restaurants , beaches , where to park etc , the welcome fruit and biscuits were a lovely touch , the bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless . We had a balcony with views of the mountains!

The staff and location were the stars of our stay. Despina and her son, George, were the most helpful and kind hosts we’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Every question answered, and problem solved. They were the best! The studios were specious with good amenities (frig, hot plate, washer, patio seating.) They had a local charm to them that we enjoyed. The location was excellent. Close walk to everything. Easy access to the beach and taxi drop off areas. Tip: Be sure and use Google Maps to locate property otherwise you could find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

J’ai adoré l’emplacement idéal dans le port de Chania à deux pas de tout. Puis la gentillesse de Despina qui offre un accueil sans pareil. Le studio est de base mais TRÈS propre , salle de bain très petite et douche peu spacieuse mais bon ça va c’estl’Europe! Le lit et les oreillers sont sont moyennement confortables mais c’est une question de goûts personnels. Cuisinette équipee correctement. Serviettes changées chaque jour et c’est très apprécié. Joli balcon privatif dont les fleurs d’un Bougainvillier viennent enjoliver l’espace! Seul point négatif , la cage d’escalier qui résonne . Heureusement nous étions pratiquement seuls dans l’immeuble… car iil est clair qu’on aurait été dérangés par le bruit de la clientèle qui rentre parfois tard. Nous reommandonsles tout de même les yeux fermés.

Great host, great stay

We enjoyed our stay in Chania. The location of the studio is excellent, right in the old town. Parking was convenient and free, just a couple of blocks away. The host was very helpful and kind, providing us with towels for the beach and a sun umbrella. We were greeted with lemonade which was very nice too. The beds weren't terrific they were a bit old and slightly uncomfortable but not a big problem.

Perfect Part of Town!

The room itself was lovely. The air-condition unit was so loud that even Turing the tv to full volume couldn't drown it out. If a new unit is put in, the stay will be lovely. You walk out the door and you are let out into the streets that are lined with restaurants and shops. People are strolling through the streets with no sense of urgency. We really enjoyed this part of town!

Amazing location in the old city centre. The room was spacious, clean and Raki + snacks were provided free of charge! However, the staff the welcomed us seemed very confused and didnt have information about the checkout available for us. When we checked out there was no staff available at all so we had to give the key to the cleaner.

Perfect!

Great place with lovely staff. Perfect location in a quiet area in old town, but still near everything. Walking distance to the beach, the harbour, shopping etc. Very clean rooms!

Excellent apartment.

Right in the middle of the old town but on a lovely quiet street. Iason studios is an excellent place to stay. Great balcony to chill out on, basic but great amenities with a small hob, washing line (even a bowl was provided!) everything to keep you fed and watered. Fantastic air con in the bedroom, as it gets very hot in Chania. Would stop here again no problem! Fresh towels every day.

Chania and Iason were a happy Surprise

Iason Studios is a charming small hotel located in the old town of Chania, Crete. We booked the unit with the kitchen and it would be perfect for a short or longer stay. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. The Studios are well located to restaurants and food stores. The bus station is about a 15 minute walk. Some great restaurants in the area.We would go back in a heartbeat. For context, we used this as a stepping stone to go to Paleochora for the beaches and hiking. There was much more to Chania than we had imagined and that includes Iason Studios.

Nice apartment/Hotel close to the sea

Nice Apartmenti inside Chania oldtown and very close to sea and the beach. Wonderful location in perfect Cretans style. Chania old own is a wonderful city with bar, restaurant and old shop with everything tha you can desire. very good vancancy.

More suitable for longer stays than ours

We just stayed one night, not much to say about it really. More suitable for longer stays than ours. It does not have a manned reception so phone in advance is needed, not really a problem but needs be taken into account. The room had a washing machine which would be super for those staying a week or more. Well if you find some place to hang your laundry to dry, we did not really try to find one, perhaps that can be borrowed?

Clean convenient but no wow factor

Very friendly owner and spotlessly clean accommodation but lacked lustre. Very old and run down building with very old furniture. Nothing matched and The bed and the pillows was so hard that I felt like I was getting a pressure sore.

Fint lite hotell i gamlebyen. Hyggelig behjelpelig og serviceinnstilt personale. Leilighet utstyrt med det vi har behov for. Wi-fi og airconditionen uten tillegg i prisen. Vann, kjeks, druer og raki på rommet når vi ankom. Hotellet har ingen uteplass med unntak av leilighetens terrasse, har ikke basseng og det er ca 15 minutter å gå til stranden (greit å vite hvis det reises med barn).

Excellent hotel

An excellent hotel, with friendly welcoming staff who where very helpful and informative at all times. The hotel is situated in the Old Town minutes from the Old Port and a 5 minute walk to the beaches.

Super studio dans un quartier sympa à 30 secondes du port. Une hôte (Despina) aux petits soins : pleins d'explications sur les choses à faire dans la région, petits gâteaux et fiole de Raki en cadeau de bienvenue. Petite anecdote : nous sommes parti tôt un matin pour faire les gorges de Samaria et n'avons pas eu le temps de faire la vaisselle avant de partir; celle-ci était faite à notre retour !!! A réserver les yeux fermés
