"Charming French provincial stone house with big garden - only problem was that check-in normally starts at 4.30pm but the owner very kindly opened up the premises for us at 3.00pm and so we had time to walk to the nearby town of Touros - a mediaeval gem in the heart of Burgundy. Although the churches and a remarkable hospital museum are worth seeing, we were most impressed by the two Michelin-starred restaurants and we ate at Les Terrasses which was absolutely superb. "Very nice place,only one room so very quiet. Only downside is that there is no private parking but plenty of places in the streets in October. Could be an issue in peak holiday time. Cash only, no credit cards."

"This is a lovely guesthouse with a difference. Owned by a Dutch couple, I was welcomed by them and their huge dog. The room was clean and pleasant, an older-fashioned rustic country style that I'd expect in a Burgundian village but all well-appointed. The distinctive features of my stay (just one night on a business trip) was the communal dinner offered with Wouter and Lotte (hosts) cooking a massive barbecue and entertaining us around the table. "Fint nyrenoverat B&B med bra service och underbart läge med utsikt över berg och vingårdar. Området har få restauranger (finns tydligen en i byn men den var stängd vid vår vistelse). Området erbjuder många små byar med vingårdar som gör bra viner till rimliga priser."

The accommodation is in the excellent ecologically converted barn. A good sound build with recycled items of furniture. Very comfortable beds.
