For a brand new building, everything was rather dirty. While the staff was nice and helpful our room wasn't ready and we showed up 3 hours after check in time. It didn't have a shower curtain and the floors were visibly dirty with foot prints. It looked like the room/floors hadn't been cleaned after the drywall was installed/painted.

Everything was solid except for the fact that the elevator was out of commission and the front entrance was caution-taped off due to some kind of work being done, so that was a little inconvenient.

We checked in and tried showering only to have water as cold as ice, door lock didn’t work. Called front desk his response was change rooms. We were already unpacked and he didn't seem to care, he said no one was there to fix anything. Moved rooms to take a shower in room number 2 and the bathroom bath mat was dirty, we used a towel cus the bath mat was that dirty, the shower wall had black curly hair stuck to it. Called front desk three times, no answer. Went to front desk no one there. Can in at night no one at desk.

The facilities were in good shape and the clerk/manager was helpful, but the breakfast was a joke. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was because it listed "breakfast included", but breakfast only included muffins and yogurt.

I selected the Extended Stay America Premier Suites in Charlottesville, Virginia after reading the high rated reviews. And it did not disappoint. The room and hotel were extremely clean, the staff very friendly and caring. This was a last-minute trip, and I requested the highest floor away from the elevators the same day I made the reservations and got exactly what I requested. The hotel is close to many restaurants, drug stores, Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco, etc. The room, a studio queen, was VERY comfortable and exceeded my expectations. The room had a full-size refrigerator and microwave, a two-burner cooktop and plenty of cabinet/storage space. The front desk will help you customize your kitchen needs by providing toaster, utensils, etc. Hotel is pet-friendly and has a large laundry room. The hotel is in a quite area approximately a 1/2 mile from US 29. I will definitely stay again. I highly recommend this hotel.

I had the worst experience ever in a hotel at the Extended Stay America Premier Suites in Charlottesville. Not everything was bad, so I’ll give the good up front. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The property is brand new and very clean. It was nice to have the option to have laundry and other amenities on site. Then the bad; when I arrived there was a group of guests partying in the parking lot with a case of beer. The parking lot wasn’t well cleared of snow and ice so it was a safety and security concern in multiple ways in my mind. I don’t know if the staff ever did anything about it but that was my first impression when I arrived. The walls and ceilings are thin. I couldn’t sleep for hearing people walking around upstairs and the party that had moved in indoors going past midnight and people being loud in the hallway. While the property is new and clean the construction was cheap, I guess. Then a gun crime happens in the parking lot – jarring to hear that happen. While the hotel can’t control where crime occurs, it all just combined to make the worst hotel stay you could imagine and I wouldn’t stay again.
