It’s a nice place and you get what you paid for. It’s very affordable. It’s basically a room in a home. The only issue we had was we did have a distinctive smell of mold or mildew in our room. We could not locate it, but it was definitely there otherwise a wonderful place great location and great staff.

This is not a hotel, which is fine so long as you know that before arriving. The accommodations are comprised of seven [separate] very small rooms on the lower level of someone's house, with shared common room and shared kitchen. Some of the rooms share a bathroom so it is more like a hostel with private rooms than it is a hotel. Located in a residential neighborhood, very quiet. The owner/operator is quite pleasant and friendly. Fine place to stay if you are not expecting a hotel and much less expensive than hotels in the area; so quiet you will get a good night sleep.

Based on the reviews we were nervous heading into our stay at Lily’s Garden. We found our rooms and were delighted to see they were charming and had a very homey feel. We met the owner and she was very friendly and happy to talk to us about the property and if we needed anything she was happy to help. The property was clean and smelled quite nice. We had plenty of room for parking as well. One issue we had was that our room had no tv, our friend had a tv but seeing as she was downstairs and we were upstairs and closer to the owner we understand not having one because it may be noisy. Overall a very good time and we would stay again!

The parking situation is horrible. The shower and tub handles were broken and very little water pressure. The room was very small. The owners spoke bad english so communication was limited. The bed frames were loose causing a lot of noise. The neighbors to the rental unit are loud and rude.

I would agree with other reviews that this is more of an airbnb or hostel than a proper b&b, inn, or hotel. The neighborhood is residential, relatively affluent, and heavily treed, which was nice. It’s off the beaten path and because of the trees and few street lights, is very dark at night. The neighborhood was very quiet overnight (ie., absence of street traffic, noise outside). However, there are multiple units/guest bedrooms in this house and the walls are quite thin. I could hear the guest in the next room coughing continuously, which made it hard to sleep. The mini-split also did not work well: very little airflow coming through (suspect it needs either a good cleaning or replacement). Only one window could be opened, which yielded limited air flow; as a result, the room felt too warm/stuffy overnight. A ceiling fan might be a good back-up addition. The bathroom was modest but clean. The linens were limited; I’d suggest bringing your own, especially if you plan to shower. Toilet (=“throne”) is elevated up some steps. Shower had good water pressure, but the height clearance would be challenging for tall people (above 1.78m). Bathroom was also located outside our room with a paper sign designating it as private for our room. Not super-convenient, but we managed. The guest room doors are all digital code entry, as is the entrance to the house (a backyard door). With few amenities, distant suburban location, this place would be for those on a budget.
