Lem's Paradise #2 on Lake Huron

Lake Huron efficiency which sleeps 4. This was remodeled a few years ago and has WIFI and A/C. It is located on 5 acres with over 300 feet of frontage on Lake Huron.

This super clean and newly remodeled efficiency is located on a 5 acre lot on the beautiful shore of Lake Huron. It has stunning views of Mackinac Island and the Mackinac Bridge. Lem's Paradise #2 is a refurbished motel that sits on 5 acres along with Lem's Paradise, Little Lem's and the Million Dollar View Cottage. They share the property and 330 feet of frontage on Lake Huron. You can rent any of them separately or together if you need extra space for a large family gathering. (There are beds for a total of 18) All bedding, linens, dishes, etc. are included. Our guests love the views and the peacefulness of the property. Guests will have access to the apartment as well as the 5 acres and 335 feet of frontage on Lake Huron. There are picnic tables, a deck, a charcoal grill and fire pit for guests to use.

*We have opted to offer Damage Insurance at the cost of $55 for your stay in lieu of a refundable security deposit. It will be listed under fees as "Damage Insurance". This does not apply to AIRBNB bookings.

*WILDLIFE DISCLAIMER*

Coming to beautiful Northern Michigan includes the possibility of wildlife encounters. We have midges, spiders, mosquitos, occasionally black flies and an assortment of other insects. We spray regularly to keep them at a manageble level but we also don't want to damage the fragile ecosystem here. Note that where there is water, there will be spiders. They are very industrious and can build back a knocked down web within a day!
They are also great for controlling mosquitos and wasps, which we appreciate.

We treasure the wildness of the North and perhaps that is what attracts you.

Consider yourself lucky if you catch a glimpse of any of our other wild neighbors - black bear, wolves, deer, elk, coyote, fox, bobcats, porcupine, skunks, raccoons, eagles, hawks, squirrels, chipmunks and mice as well as a massive variety of birds.

We ask you to consider this before booking one of our cottages or cabins.

The presence of wildlife is part of the experience here and does not warrant a refund.

Great Stay!

We loved our stay at Lem’s II. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything you needed and the owners were welcoming. The property had great views of Lake Huron and Mackinaw Island. The location was convenient to both Mackinaw City and Cheboygan. Will definitely stay again.

Cutest little cabins

We loved the cabin, it was perfect for our family of 4. The view is to die for, right off 23 and only 12 minutes to mackinaw city. Very convenient and the owners are wonderful

Cute waterfront

Wonderful little spot! Our kids loved walking down to the water to play on the beach/rocks. The owner/managers came out with fresh cookies to greet us! Very quiet, I will definitely come back.

Cozy clean place

The property was very nice, clean, well kept. The owner were super friendly and greeted us with fresh baked cookies, so very sweet of them. The property was about 5-10 mins away from the hustle and bustle of all the hotels and stores and ferry. it was nice, quiet and peaceful which was much needed after going to Mackinak Island.

Spectacular View!

The host was extremely friendly, welcoming us with fresh bake chocolate chip cookies 🍪. The location was great! Mackinac City and Cheboygan were minutes away. The view was incredible! One evening we went for a swim and we could see the bridge to the right and a rainbow 🌈 to the left of us. I highly recommend this property 😊

Perfect Anniversary Getaway

This was the perfect spot for our anniversary vacation! Outside the chaos of the city but not so far that we felt like we couldn't bop back and forth. We had pretty busy days planned so were really only here for sleeping but it was nice to know we had a safe place to leave our things while we were gone! Owners are right on site and the absolute sweetest! Diane was wonderful to work with and answered all my questions, even the ones that were probably annoying! 🙃

Great location and functional.

Very pleased with the stay, great location, BUT the listing “oversells” a bit. This is not a one bedroom - it’s a studio - and the only way 6 people could sleep comfortably is if 2 would sleep in the car. I would not recommend more than 4. The queen bed seems a little small - so may not be comfortable for larger people. The kitchen had all the appliances, but it’s a small refrigerator, limited on the dishes, and it’s not really stocked with anything (bring your own olive oil, spices, functional knives, regular size cutting board, pans, wine glasses, etc). There is zero insulation - so the highway noise could be disturbing to light sleepers. Window AC is needed during the day and blankets at night. Bathroom is clean and good water pressure - but don’t forget your toiletries and it’s pretty tiny so just be aware that the supposedly 6 people will not have any room to store anything. Don’t read this as negative - we had a lovely time and recommend if y’all know what to expect and how to pack accordingly.

Beautiful location and outside of the property, inside has potential

Our stay at Diane's property was overall a memorable experience. We had a good time. The location is breathtaking with beautiful views of the Mackinac bridge and Mackinac island, short distance away from the Mackinac Island Ferry transportation for those hoping to visit that magical place. Diane was very helpful throughout the process and quickly responded to any questions we had, both via email and calls. Great professionalism and customer service. That lady is a pleasure to deal with! The only items with an opportunity for improvement would be clearly identifying the lodging (the email indicated to look for Lem's Paradise #2, which in our mind meant the door #2. Since there are multiple buildings and one with multiple doors on it, it took us a few minutes to figure out which building and room was ours). After an entire day of driving, it would help to have more user-friendly signs to figure out without a doubt quickly where to go. This might have been us just being tired from the drive, we ended up asking one other guest on the property for help and he was able to point us in the right direction. The accommodations were very modest (which is ok), yet the inside greeted us with an unpleasant smell (we needed to open up the windows for a few hours to air the smell out), the couches appeared old and as if they needed a good cleaning (we covered them with sheets we brought from home, which solved the problem), there were dozens of dead flies stuck in the kitchen ceiling lights (one of them the cover was broken), and what appeared as a dirty shower floor prevented us from taking a shower during our stay there. These few items did not change the fact that the property on the outside was magical with beautiful colorful lighting by the building, a comfortable bench by the lake to sit and enjoy the sunsets, plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors overall. These are all fixable - even buying covers for the couches would already improve the first impression, cleaning and replacing the lights in the kitchen, and making sure that the air quality is fresh as the guests enter the room. Overall - I think we would go back there again if the above improvements were made.

Beautiful spot on Lake Huron

This was a nice, small apartment where my daughter, sister and I stayed. Took me one night to get used to the road noise but we all slept very well. The owners are very nice and accommodating. Even brought us cookies when we arrived! We enjoyed the area very much and our stay here. Room had one queen bed and a queen futon.

Clean and comfortable

This place is very nice. A few yards down from where we stayed is a beautiful view of Lake Huron, a wooden swing for enjoying the views, picnic table and a firepit. A wooded area surrounds as well. Deb and Bob were very accommodating, and we thoroughly enjoyed the homemade chocolate chip cookies they provided us on arrival....nice touch.

Girls Trip - Perfect!

We stayed on our 2nd annual sisters trip (4 adults) and loved the stay! Even though we ran out of time to use it we loved that there was a fire pit down by the water! It did get warm enough (marginally) to swim so it was super nice to have our own private access to the water without having to go anywhere. Thanks for everything!

We had a great time staying here. The boys loved running down to the beach, jumping the waves and looking for rocks. I would consider it more of a studio than 1 bedroom as there wasn’t a door to the bedroom but the unit still worked great for our family! Would definitely come back here!
