"I can't begin to describe how lovely this cottage is. Located next to the hosts' home at the edge of town. The patio is right on the canal, beautiful and quiet, perfect place to enjoy a coffee or watch the birds. House is very cute and comfortable and the hosts were accommodating. Note that the washing machine is not in the cottage but is in the hosts' home - they very kindly washed a load of laundry for us and hung it out to dry. The bikes were a fantastic inclusion to help us explore the area (which I highly recommend), but could benefit from some maintenance."

"Lovely hotel, set in a charming town. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff and locals as well. Great transport, only 20 min bus ride to Amnsterdam Central Station. Hotel room was well maintained and ours had a balcony, nice to enjoy a morning coffee in the fresh air. Next time I stay there I will have to try their restaurant Joon which was certainly popular each night."

"Volendam est un joli petit port au nord d'Amsterdam et est idéal pour découvrir les environs si vous ne voulez pas être dans la grande ville d'Amsterdam. Les locations sont au bord de la marina dans un très bel environnement et très bien équipées. Quelques idées d'excursions : le centre ville de Volendam, l'île de Marken à 30 mn en partant du port de Volendam, Amsterdam (préférez le bus avec un arrêt juste en face de la marina et arrivée au centre d'Amsterdam - environ 30 mn), les jardins de Keukenhof (idéal en avril), ville de Leiden avec ses nombreux canaux (peut-être fait en même temps que Keukenhof), circuit en vélo dans les petits villages au sud de Volendam, petit port de pêche Hoorn au nord de Volendam, le site de Zaanse Chans avec ses moulins à vent (s'il yen a un à visiter c'est le moulin scierie)."
