The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only disappointment is the buffet food when you’ve booked with breakfast or half board. This is breakfast and lunch or dinner. Options are limited, mainly veg/ Asian and not a lot of intercontinental choices, as per the marketing. Though they do cater for a la cart.

Best Stay in A whil

The check in was extremely nice where the manager was also there. I had a nice small chat with her. She and her staff gave me a warm check in. I went to the room and it was tidy and beautiful. I immediately got about to work and then went down to eat. The food buffet was great. I really liked their biriyani, prawns and Chinese fares. Went up. Slept like a baby. In the morning I had an emergency which the front desk officer, Merly and her assistant helped me instantly. I love coming to Chennai but I will always come back to Welcomhotel for their hospitality from next time.

Excellent staff, rude General Manager

Room was clean and very well maintained. The dining experience was wonderful with plenty of vegetarian options. All the staff members were very friendly and courteous. Balakrishnan, Meryl, Keith, Shankar and Kennedy were extremely helpful and ensured all our needs were well taken care of. You have amazing staff working for you. That said, I found the General Manager Illa Prabhu's people skills to be unacceptable. I found her frequently yelling at her staff members in front of guests. This happened multiple times. I rarely found her smiling or greeting customers. Besides that, my experience staying at WelcomHotel was amazing. Kudos to the entire staff.

I recently stayed at Welcomhotels by ITC, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations for a reputed brand. The cleanliness standards were very disappointing. I noticed a cockroach in the breakfast area, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this level. To make matters worse, I found hair in the food served, which raised further concerns about hygiene. The bathroom was also poorly maintained and had a persistent stinky odor, making the stay quite uncomfortable. Overall, I would rate the property around 2–3 stars at best. The hotel has potential, but unless serious improvements are made in cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance, it’s hard to recommend.
