Appaloosa One sits right beside its sister Cabin, Appaloosa Two with Trails leading to the Oconaluftee River for fishing access. These trails are not handicap accessible but we do provide a paved road with a parking area for handicap access. Appaloosa One has two bedrooms each with queen size beds, one bathroom, One living room and fully furnished Kitchen. Minutes away from Harrah's Casino and Downtown Cherokee.

Beautiful Getaway

The property is amazing and less than 5 minutes from the casino. Beautiul river, but didn't have my fishing pole this time, but next time will definitely bring it and there will definitely be a nexttime.

Great cabin

This is one of the best cabin we have stayed in . Clean and comfortable just like the add stated. Owner was very nice and we will definitely stay he again. I highly recommend this cabin.

Great Stay

We wanted a quiet place to stay for a three-day fishing trip. This was our first time traveling with our dog, and this cabin/property matched our needs perfectly. The property is scenic, and there is river access. The cabin is clean and comfortable and well stocked with amenities. We are planning a return trip.

River Access/Trout fishing

Loved staying at the cabin so close to the river. We walked down to it everyday to fish and caught big trout. Cabin was clean & had everything we needed. Was a very convenient location being in the woods but still close to town.

Dad and Daughter Vacation

Though it was just two days it was so good being in the mountains. The property was clean and very cool. My daughter absolutely loved the cabin and the view of the river and sunset was killer.

Hidden Gem

This place was so great, I honestly don’t want to brag about it too much because I want to keep it my secret! Seriously, one of, if not THE best place I’ve ever stayed in the area. The host’s hospitality was off the charts! 10/10 I will definitely revisit this little hidden gem.

Nice Cabin

The Cabin itself I would give a 4 rating. However I rated this as 5 as the property manager/owner is top shelf. Great communications and assistance. I did enjoy the cabin itself as well although the beds were not comfortable. Location is okay, it is easy to access right off a paved road way and is not steep. Close to downtown and easy to get to everything in the area.

Perfect and cozy in every way

Just as described. Everything was easy and convenient. Cabin is so clean. Little things planned for by host just made it perfect; box fans in case bedrooms were warm, fire pit with chopped wood available, kitchen essentials. Path to the river is maintained. Location is very convenient but still feels rustic. Don't skip: Listening to the river, toasting marshmallows, and watching the fireflies. We had such a great time and would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything!

Home away from home!

My family and I absolutely LOVED staying here! Such a great location, 5 minutes away from everything and yet secluded within a quite area. Because of Helene we didn't have wifi or cell service for the first few days, but it made it nice to be disconnected for a while. Clint the owner was still able to get into contact us when we would be between service and made sure we had everything we needed, also there is a huge DVD collection that we had to occupy us as well as the beautiful river that you can see from the back porch. We also utilized the fully stocked kitchen multiple times and enjoyed thoroughly! The only thing that people should be aware of is yes you have access to the river, and it is a pretty steep climb back up, but it is doable and watched my Husband with full fishing gear do it multiple times. Overall, we will most likely not stay anywhere else because of the amazing experience we had here and cannot wait to return. We RECOMMEND everyone to stay here and no doubt that you will enjoy it as much as our family did!
