Lovely place, food and breakfast spot on, nice and central but I believe the rooms could do with a deep clean, perhaps new carpets and new grouting round the shower trays?
All in all though love stay and the staff were amazing, a big thank you to will especially, outstanding service
Everything was excellent the staff could not do enough for us. The breakfast was amazing there was so much choice, enough to feed an army. They accommodated family joining us and then we sat and chatted with extra drinks. It was fab all round would definitely stay again and highly recommend . Had lunch there too and the food was great again with big portions.
The whole team at The Saddle made me feel
Like a part of the family. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique experience in Chester. Especially if you’re a music lover 🤘

Girls trip
It was a nice enough room bathroom a bit tired decor very suitable for theme of pub Stairs to rooms very narrow and hard slog getting to the top floor .
Didn’t eat in as food was finished when we arrived and not available on the other two days which was disappointing.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Overall we enjoyed our stay but there was a few issues. Our room was hot and we were unable to open the window. The bed was very creaky. The place could do with repainting in parts. But the staff were very friendly and breakfast was lovely
One night stay along with our 15yr old son. All 3 of us stayed in the same room which was very spacious, set out lovely and very clean. We were impressed with the decor and fealt comfortable right from first entering. Yes it could do with a bit of an update but nothing to worry about at all. The management and staff couldn’t be more helpful during our stay right from checking in to having a bite to eat and a few drinks in the bar. Need to say, the meal we had was professionally cooked and therefore couldn’t fault. There was live music playing on the Saturday night which we enjoyed, however we went to bed before the band finished and noise was not an issue as we couldn’t hear it from our room. To sum up, this is a 100% recommended place to stay, excellent venue, people, room, menu and atmosphere. This will be a regular place that we will stay at in the future.....
Ps we do lots of city breaks and this hotel (albeit different from your usual chains) was truly amazing.
The inn has lots of character and the staff were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good, but could have benefitted from a fruit option.
The room was clean but a little tired & bathroom could do with a little bit of bit of upgrading, e.g. grouting around bath, dripping tap & fixtures.
