"I used this hotel for a one night stay while travelling up the country, free parking, free gym and leisure facilities which I used. These facilities were good enough for a full body workout. Changing rooms were cleaned, towels and padlocks provided for lockers. Pool was nice after a workout, sauna and steam room, nice and hot and steamy. The bar was busy and the food was a decent price and tasty."

"Generally our stay at the hotel was good. The location is good, the room was clean and functional and the breakfast was excellent with great service. The let down for us was that when we returned to the hotel, cold and wet (due to the storm) on the Friday evening we first went to the bar to warm up. I ordered 2 coffees for for my wife and I, but was told the coffee machine had been cleaned and no hot drinks were available, this was at 10.15pm. A supposed 5 star hotel could not supply a coffee? I then asked for a port for us both but was told we don't have any ?? We went straight back to our room. The good points of the hotel were negated by the attitude of the bar staff who couldn't be bothered to help. Will try another hotel next time we need to stay in Chester."
