Boat house on the sea.

  • Boathouse is literally sitting on the ocean. With high ceilings, wood floors and beautiful views makes it one of Cheticamp's best rentals. Walking distance to Whale Cruises, restaurants, bars, and cofee shop, property is perfect. Only 10 minutes to the National Park. You will fall in love with the view, the ocean, the sal air and the sound of boats going by with their catch of lobster. Make this space your central location to visit the island. This is ground level, upstairs another rental.

    There are two bedrooms in this rental and one king size bed in the open concept living room. There is another unit on the second floor.

    Parking is street side. It is very well lit and we have never had any issues, it is a very safe area:)

    The downtown area is quite nice and you are situated right on the boardwalk. Please take the time to take a stroll by the water and drop in at Marquerite boutique et Provisions for a fresh coffee and locally baked goods.

This property is at the water's very edge, and the view looking along the harbor towards the Gulf is fantastic. We had a beautiful sunset view from our deck looking towards Cheticamp Island. The apartment is well furnished and the kitchen well equipped for cooking. Beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend and hope to get back here for another stay.

Excellent location on the water in Cheticamp. Kitchen facilities were excellent and the use of the washer dryer was great. Location was really good. Great place for a family stay. Could use more lighting at the front door and stair area at night.

Nice to be on the water; lovely views. Good location. Ramp from the street down to the house made it much easier to pull luggage, etc. Bedroom was very small. Lighting could have been a lot better. Listing made it sound as if we had the entire house; not true. Other people upstairs and we heard lots of clomping around.

All was fantastic ! Except for the noise coming from the movement from the accommodation above. As for the rest! It was perfect!

Beautiful spot overlooking the water. Next door to a yummy pizza/poutine shop. Close to a lovely cafe and walking distance from a few pubs. The grocery is about 1km away. Quiet at night. We walked to the nearest dock and were able to buy lobster right there. As described, one small bedroom with a single, another bedroom with a full size bed. The king (queen?) bed in the back corner of the main room was fine for our group, but worth noting. We LOVED the deck, view and setting!

Beautiful location and accommodations over and above!

My three sisters and I stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the property and the town. Very well stocked with linens and kitchen ware. I would stay here again and most definitely recommend it to other travelers!

The place looked just like the pictures, was very easy to find, so comfortable and had an amazing view. The host kept us very adequately informed about everything. Would definitely recommend this place!

Booked this place at the last minute and now I see why it was one of the few places that was available. Home has a lot of entertainment space but limited sleeping space. Bedrooms are tiny and as a 5'-7" female my legs were hanging off the bed. I'm wondering if it was custom built to fit in the small room. My friend took the smaller room - yes, there was an even smaller room with what I assume is a twin bed - this might have been customized to fit the space as well. One got the feeling that you could just spread and touch two sides of the room when you're on the bed. The king size bed in one corner of the living room did not make any sense to me either especially as the house was advertised as a two bedroom that sleeps 5. I think that space would have been better used to increase the size of the bedrooms with a pull out in the living area. I also do not like the idea of using coloured sheets on beds in commercial sleeping unuts. It looks too domesticated plus it's not easy to judge cleanliness with brown and navy blue bed linen. Oh, did I mention the bathroom? The shower is at most 30" x 30". I could hardly move when I was taking my shower at 5'-7", 150lbs. I had to tilt my head way back to avoid water from the shower getting into my face. This place has great potential as it literally sits on the water but the enttre layout would need to be revised and the decor refreshed. As it stands, there's no way I'd stay there again.

Great location

A wonderful spot. It is quiet, a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. The sunsets are stunning! Location is close to the park. My family visiting from England thoroughly enjoyed it.

Amazing location and fantastic layout. Terrific ocean views and very central to numerous restaurants and bars. Joeleen was always quick to respond to questions and requests. She had really great suggestions for things to do and see in the area. The Boat House was very clean and extremely comfortable. Would recommend staying here if you are in the area.
