  • The Cottage at Chichester is six minutes from Phoenicia, just ten minutes to Hunter Mountain and twenty minutes from Woodstock. Nestled between two mountains, with a stream at the rear of the property, the cottage offers a serene wooded setting which is sure to delight. The beautiful new deck features built in hidden lighting, perfect for enchanted summer evenings.

    The cottage is kept immaculately clean, nothing less will do for our guests. You'll enjoy the full tile bath with retro style sink, the heart wood floors, modern kitchen and skylights. The night sky is unimpeded by artificial light, the views are amazing!

This was a great place to stay for a quick weekend snowboarding trip to Hunter. The host was great, very friendly and easy to work with. Strong WiFi/internet cable which was great for news and weather updates about the huge winter storm. Good privacy and a nice back porch. Will book this place again for any future trips to the area! Very nice cottage that is well kept and clean. Easy 7 min to Phoenicia and 20 min to Belleayre. The manager is very attentive and responsive to messages and questions. Very nice heat for the winter. Good kitchen for a small family. Also had a nice time running the dog in the yard.

A beautiful, peaceful location to enjoy nature, yet be close enough to restaurants and shopping for convenience. We had four days of quiet and serenity in the warm, cozy, "feels like home" cottage. Comfortable cottage on good sized, wooded lot, attentive host

My family had a relaxing 8-day stay in the Cottage at Chichester, enjoying the outdoors and the fall foliage. The cottage is big enough so the four of us were comfortable. The kitchen/dinning area is small for 4, but we often used the deck right outside the kitchen and ate outside with views of the ridge behind through the trees. The grounds are good sized and extend into the woods.I enjoyed bird watching from the deck on the property. We used the picnic area in the woods with a fire pit. Fire wood was provided. The property extends to a creek in the back. The host was easy to reach, pleasant and attentive to our requests. The cottage is centrally located in the Catskills. Most hiking & biking trails and ski areas are less than a 30 minute drive. The only reason I did not give a 5-star review is that the cabin is not far from the road, so you can hear traffic and headlights shine into the big bedroom at night. Fortunately when we were staying in October, there was not much traffic mid-week.
