Loved this Parador. Reception desk on arrival were so helpful. Swimming pool was so nice to relax. The gardens were super and we were told, at the desk, to also stroll around them in the evening, which we did.
Splendid!
Rooms were spotless and spacious, so thank you staff behind the scenes.
Loved Chinchon a small but fascinating town made better by this beautiful hotel.
The only downside was the evening meal, which was disappointing. Might have been our choice of steak rather than local cuisine.
English spoken at the desk but not in the town, so have google translate or marry a linguist like I did!

Low the Parador chain - so close to places of interests and walkable. The hotel itself is full of history and cultural value given it is state-run.
I had an absolutely wonderful day in Chinchon at the parador. It is beautifully situated right at the entrance to the old town and truly is a memorable place to stay. The rooms were spotless and the hotel is very quiet and well designed with a wonderful restaurant where I enjoyed a delicious meal. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s just fabulous.
Amazing Parador, steeped in History, Chinchón itself is a fantastic town to explore, the centrepiece of the town is the bullring along with a multitude of restaurants
Historical property which is a destination by itself. We enjoyed both the room and the many sitting areas. Proximity to town square also a plus. Some staff members are more gentle than others. Wish there were more amenities in room such as complimentary water bottles, bathrobes and slippers. Our mattresses were a bit stiff which was surprising for a 4-star property. But definitely recommend.
Lovely parador hotel. Not much to do in the area, we used it as a stopping point on our way to Segobriga. Excellent breakfast and some restaurant choices in the square next door.
A lovely place to stay and explore places like Cuenca. Great food and lovely breakfast. Although still 30 degrees the swimming pool is seasonal snd not open when we stayed late September. Friendly and helpful staff and tea making facilities in the room
Fabulous hotel, lovely setting, beautifully decorated. Extensive peaceful gardens. Staff friendly and efficient. Evening meal in courtyard with pianist playing was superb. Cannot fault it!
This is one of the best Paradors I have stayed at. Beautifully appointed, lovely fresh flowers everywhere, including a small greenery in a glass container in the bathroom. Very large and comfortable room. Expansive communal corridors outside the rooms to relax in. Paid parking available and plenty of free street parking. It is next to the Plaza Mayor so right in the centre of things, but very tranquil inside the building and grounds.

Clean room, attentive staff, great location in a charming and very food focused historic town very close to Madrid. Introduced to us by Iberia staff years ago and we come back every year,
I’ve been to many, many places, and this was one of my favorites!
When we return to Spain, we’re going to stay here the entire time. The hotel and the town were a treasure.
I’m giving this stay one star—only because I can’t give less. The whole point of staying at a hotel is to be able to get some rest, but in October—with temperatures around 60°F (15°C) in the early morning—they turned off the air conditioning, supposedly to switch to heating. I had to regulate the temperature myself by opening the floor-to-ceiling windows, which meant waking up throughout the night to open and close them. Because the windows are so large—spanning nearly from floor to ceiling—there was zero privacy, and mosquitoes, flies, and other unrecognizable insects kept getting in. On top of that, the church bells rang every half hour. When I asked the staff about it and mentioned that I felt misled—since their website claims they have air conditioning—they essentially, though politely, told me to deal with it. If you’re traveling with children, it’s impossible to sleep here, given those large, low-set windows. I’ve stayed at *Paradores* before, but this was a different story. I suppose it could have been worse—but not by much.
