And Vicky, who manages the motel, was amazing--friendly, helpful, and went beyond the call of duty to reach out to us when there was an issue with pre-authorizing our credit card. She called us directly to let us know that she didn't want us to lose our reservation and asked us to call her so we could re-confirm our intention to stay at the Badger that night. Amazing! "The motel in EauClaire was good, breakfast ok, outside very loud due to freeway nearby, however the rooms were quiet or soundproofed from the outside noise. The property in Manistique is nicer, quieter, walking path along the Lk Michigan , very good breakfast, nicer room - big sink outside of the bathroom, rugs in room felt cozier although i realize hard floors are more hygienic. I would recommend both places as we had positive experiences there."
