"Do not be discouraged by the road to Rancho Humo, what lies at the end turned out to be a real gem. This property is nestled up against the central wetlands of Nicoya peninsula on the shore of the Tempisque river and is a definitive location for birdwatchers from all over. My wife and I are not birdwatchers but booked this based on its remote location and its high marks from other reviews. We also booked in offseason so fortunately for us we were the only guests and the staff was so great to make us feel welcome and taken care of all week. Be sure to let Kenneth make you feel welcome and attend to whatever your needs are and listen to his vast knowledge about the property and it’s animal inhabitants while on the safari tour. Also, Chef Kenya is an absolute magician in the kitchen so don’t miss her daily culinary offerings. Will absolutely return one day, maybe not during the rainy season though… 😁"

"Check-in was smooth and simple. The property manager, Stuart is extremely helpful, sincere, and communicative. The property is exactly as listed, and more. Access to the entire farm is welcomed and encouraged. The highlights for our stay included: the owner/campesino's warm hospitality, eco-friendly focus, full Kitchen and amenities, access to the River, large open balcony, serene environment, bespoke natural furniture and décor throughout the Property, and several activities offered on-site as well as nearby. Beautiful environment coupled with excellent hosts. Love it!"

"We were greeted at the gate by the host to make sure we knew where to park and that we had everything we needed. He set up a tour of the property the following morning and my daughter got to ride a horse all around the property. We loved learning about the plants and the animals and even got to see 8 piglets that were born overnight! We played in the river and ate at nearby sodas. We spent 3 nights here and enjoyed the sunset views overlooking the beautiful mountains as we traveled home from monteverde each day. They even gave us a night tour on the property and we learned more about the frogs, spiders, and snakes. My family loved playing with the three dogs on property. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"We consider ourselves fortunate to have the privilege of staying at this spectacular architecture designed home. The property has a master bedroom with attached ensuite as well as 2 additional bedrooms and an additional washroom. We appreciated how well the kitchen was stocked with “extras” such as paper towels, napkins, salt, pepper, other spices, sugar and coffee. We were met at the gate and given a tour of the house at check-in. The grounds are large and very private. Attached to the kitchen is a huge outdoor living area with seating and eating areas. I want to mention the high quality linens - both bedding and towels. The house and outdoor living areas were spotless. Something we appreciate was the quality of the roads leading to the house (if you have driven off the main roads in Costa Rica, you know what I am talking about). Any questions we had were answered promptly. The property is managed by the owner and pride of ownership shows through out the whole property! We would absolutely stay here again if the opportunity ever arose. "
